Although NASA and SpaceX are the main groups in the United States dedicated to space exploration, there are some others, and there are also many other groups located in other parts of the world with similar goals. One of these groups is the European Space Agency (ESA) which is comprised of 22 different countries in Europe. They call themselves Europe's gateway to space, and "want to shape the development of Europe's space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world." Their website can be found here The different groups dedicated to space exploration around the world are evidence of the importantce of space exploration to us as a human race, and the power it holds to feed our curiosity about the world we live in.
